A pregnant woman’s water breaking sparked a chain reaction that ended with a man critically injured in a nightclub shootout, Kansas City police said.

The pregnant woman, who has not been identified, was dancing at the E.B. Bar & Grill when her water broke early Saturday.

Police said the woman’s situation caused people to make ‘unkind comments’ which then led to an argument between two groups of men.
