If they're playing or joking around, that's still an alarm to have a talk with them about self worth. If they're not playing and actually are rocking weaves (i've seen it, it is happening folks), then I'm sorry, but they're doomed.
Monica Williams:

If it IS playing dress up, how does wearing a wig make your self worth come into question...?

"DOOMED"??? REALLY??? Overreacting much? If it's playing dress up, as little girls often do (ie., tea parties, playing princess, etc.), it 's sign of a healthy imagination, creativity, and it stimulates right-brain activity. They could be characters in a play. If they do actually have weaves/wigs on, there could still be a point. When I was a kid (between the ages of 8-13), I had hair pieces and extensions @ times because 1) I went to a school that put on many performing arts productions where hair pieces and *gasp* stage makeup was necessary for shows. 2) I was also the poster child for the Sickle Cell foundation & made many public appearances (in person, tv, etc.) some of which took place back to back, or 2 or 3 times in one week. If it was one appearance in a week, put a hairpiece on for it, take it off when it's over. For the busy weeks w/ photo shoots & appearances it was extensions/ sew ins. The styles lasted longer and they were quicker and easier to refresh if I'd become disheveled while playing or sleeping bad the night before. I ain't a stripper, crackwhore, no baby daddies, never been in trouble, etc.
So, they could be just wearing them because their mama wanted them to or there could actually be a point to them. But doomed? C'mon son. Maybe we need to question YOUR self worth & narrow-mindedness to find out why you're writing off & judging LITTLE KIDS. Who's the doomed one now?
