Sad but true! I think people believe it's cool to not know how to spell words correctly or use proper grammar anymore. Somewhere, someone is failing the youth of today. *sigh*

I said it once, I'll say it again. Writing, as well as general conversation are both becoming lost arts. Thank you TECHNOLOGY for making our young people dumber!

these are the same people that completely eff up memos and stuff at work. these are the same people that fail to AT LEAST look up the word or type it into google if they aren't sure about a word. these are the same people who get mad and say " this isn't a spelling bee or english class! stop complaining" SMH practice makes perfect!

So adorable. Kids are so stupid. I was never one myself, I just appeared one day, already in my twenties.

Wow, notes should have evolved. OUR notes never looked like this. Our grammar, punctuation and spelling were on point. LOL...smdh...with all this technology and this is what notes look like. Its a wonder their FB statuses look like what they do.

Lmao were these written by first graders?

to have been in middle school myself, when that first note was written, I must say that I NEVER wrote like that. I may use abbreviation for my words on the internet and in text messages, but everything I say makes sense and everything is grammatically correct. it would be foolish of me to sound and write like an idiot when my mother is a teacher. :)

I really wish I could agree that "age is nothing but a number" and that everyone should be able to make their own decisions about when they're ready to engage in sexual behavior. But really? Do any of these people sound like they're mature enough to handle...well, anything?

omg try looking at the facebook statuses of the people who DO have multiple children. it's RIDICULOUS. i bet their kids went to school with fucked up homework because the parents aren't able to properly spell the words the kids come home with .lol

Ya know, not all public schooled kids act like that. As the product of 13 years of public school (k-12), I will graduate next month and matriculate to a "Top 100" public university; furthermore, I am the Salutatorian with a 4.2 GPA. I feel their raising at home, not their schooling led to this type of behavior. Also, the first note may be legitimate, as I know many people in my community that have parents who do not speak English. I feel that I have been appropriately socialized and given many opportunities through my schooling, like Leadership Camps and Congressional Youth Summits even though I come from a county that is rural and mostly poor. I love my public school and wouldn't change it for the world!

I am sure these are notes from middle school adolescents, at least I hope so. There is a chance they could be from elementary school children. I have heard some sad stories about what some of these elementary school kids are doing now a days ;(.
